1.Aplicație (cabluri pentru instrumente):
Cablurile BS 5308 sunt proiectate pentru a transporta semnale de comunicație și control într-o varietate de tipuri de instalații, inclusiv cele găsite în industria petrochimică. Semnalele pot fi de tip analogic, de date sau de voce și de la o varietate de traductoare, cum ar fi presiunea, proximitatea și microfonul. Partea 1 Cablurile de tip 3 sunt în general proiectate acolo unde este necesar un grad mai mare de protecție mecanică și chimică sau îngropare directă la o adâncime adecvată. Perechile ecranate colectiv și individual sunt disponibile în cadrul gamei. Pentru instalațiile în care incendiul, emisia de fum și vaporii toxici creează un risc potențial pentru viață și echipament.
